"Proof" of the gospel, as for anything else (works well for me, you have to decide for yourself): the relationship between science & religion, etc (main)

• Compare to radio waves: they existed long before they were known & understood.
• We prove radio waves by indirect observation (seeing its effects, etc, using it... good enough proof at least for this sense).
• It is the same w/ the gospel: we feel it, see its results & effects.
• That, the testimonies of witnesses (Christofferson & Packer in April 2014 conference describe), the results I see when I obey or not, and BoM are enough for me.
• Testing it: Alma 32, 33, Moroni 7, 10, etc. If we want the Lord's blessing we have to do it His way (includes sincerity, effort, patience, obeying).
• There are many other witnesses (those who saw and heard, and reported)
• The Book of Mormon introduction has statements from witnesses who saw and felt the plates, and never denied the reality or importance of it, all their lives.
• What other proof could one possibly ask? multiple sources, multiple means give the same answer. Ah, but it requires willingness and some interest.
• What could be more honest than to recognize a good principle from repeated, repeatable personal experience? And that that is what an individual can know...
• There are talks and articles about science, religion, & faith -- if you search the Church web site for those things.
• MANY RESOURCES: search by topics, at www.churchofjesuschrist.org (magnifying glass icon): includes a very good 12-step program, & much, much more. (main)
• How I learned God is real & cares (and you can too), and I find that extremely helpful in life: many long-considered reasons for peace and motivation, even...
• We believe anyone can know for themselves if the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is God's official organization on the earth.
• I get my best ideas for decision-making if i have done my homework, thought about (probably listed) the pros & cons, talked w/ someone helpful, praying, etc.
• *I know* it is true, from much ongoing experience, like when I say I know I love my wife, or I know how food tastes--regardless of debate. You can know too.
