There are great benefits that I have observed in my own life and that of others

• A built-in community of dear friends where I know whom to trust, and the comfort and guidance of the Holy Ghost, to help and encourage me wherever I go.
• A lifelong support community (in addition to family and instructions on provident living) which combined are far reliable than the government.
• I find that my best decision-making comes when I am humble, obedient, clean (spiritually), prayerful and unhurriedly immersed in/pondering the scriptures.
• I find that when I am distressed or having negative/undesired thoughts, I can improve them and find peace again if...
• Sometimes, when I don't expect (seeming to be more when I am being humble before God, have been recently prayerful and obedient, and trying...
• ...trying to do right), I get a warm feeling of peace that is hard to describe but is very gratifying and lets me know that things are OK (or will be).
• We have living prophets to guide us for our day: just as Noah, Moses, Jeremiah, John the Baptist, etc., were given specific instructions for the people...
• These counsels help with our family unity and happiness, and teach us to care for others.
• My wife and I have siblings and many cousins, and as far as I know, they all trust, like & could help each other, though we are different and widely scattered.
• Ordinances: with the restored (or re-established) authority of Jesus Christ to baptize, give pers. blessings of counsel or health, & sealing of families.
• There is a free family history / genealogy web site, with many aids and partnerships for research: familysearch.org . (I worked there--good stuff). (main)
• Jesus Christ said "by their fruits ye shall know them". The fruits (results) I have observed are very good, across many flawed people, and generations.
• And probably more if I thought longer. I observe this across the generations starting with the journal of am early ancestor who joined the Church etc.
