Scriptures on how to treat other people include...

• The Sermon on the Mount (aka SoM), & many other teachings of Christ on kindness & svc.
• If there is conflict, consider if oneself is at fault, and what one can do better to be kind and serve them (in wisdom, as the Savior taught& showed).
• If they continue to attack, consider D&C section 28, taking the matter quietly between oneself & them, and if needed go to the Church or the law.
• Consider Luke (6?) in SoM in JST saying ~resist not evil..better to be struck on other cheek 2x than to be contentious or hateful
• always look 4 waht is best 4 that person: which includes justice and mercy
• In other words, dont pretend it didnt happen, because that hurts them in their ability to repent & move forward.
• We are commanded to forgive (NT, D&C 63 or 64)
• But also in D&C section 123, we sometimes gather info on offenses to clarify, help them repent
• See
• it is for their good, they need to change. Not become contentious, but we should protect our own virtue and ability to serve. Letting Spirit be the guide.
• Consider the UTA employee captured by a father/son at least one of whom killed him & who had previously kidnapped others, they said victim never lost control.
• D&C 80 or 90-something (97?) on war: being calm, deliberate, kind, responsible.
• for re others: we decide what to think: we arent subject to their judgement but God's & we can be at peace knowing he will do right.
