Be careful about places that use a cell phone #, say, texting to it, as verification of who you are.

• ...found convenient ways to switch cell phones to their own SIM card, and thus can impersonate you quickly with anyone who does that (some banks? etc).
• It is also worth calling your mobile phone provider to ask about preventing someone switching your phone to them without your permission.
