Some things are ok, some things are not. It is ok to have boundaries for one's own safety & well-being. Only God knows everything and He will judge us all.

God lets us choose to follow His plan of growth and happiness, or not. We will be judged. Mercy is available, through Jesus Christ, if we choose to follow Him
Maybe people are just made/wired to want/do differently -- it is not for me to judge their worth or goodness, but how & whether to work w/ them.
