We have personally known some and met others of the Church General Authorities (like the Seventy and apostles), and I worked a while in the same few buildings.

• I have known some of their family members fairly well.
• And the corruption one person assumed and suggested to me without specifics (in an online discussion), seems totally absent.
• They work very hard and often give up large financial opportunities and restful retirements.
• There are 17 million members worldwide (as of 2023: starting from 6 in 1830). There are more members outside the USA, than in it.
