Here are more examples that relate to the gift of the Holy Ghost (received after baptism, conditional upon ongoing obedience to the commandments).
Recently I have wondered much about questions of priority, progress, & direction, and feel like I received answers which made me feel good and peaceful.
Sometimes, when I don't expect (seeming to be more when I am being humble before God, have been recently prayerful and obedient, and trying...
...trying to do right), I get a warm feeling of peace that is hard to describe but is very gratifying and lets me know that things are OK (or will be).
I have had very many instances of feelings and experiences that I can't deny.
How foreknowledge about my activities just...comes sometimes, and if I disobey I regret it (hard experience). But I cant force it. I can think, ask and wait.
Many times when I prayed for direction and received it, often after time/effort/study, but sometimes very promptly.
That is what we believe is the gift of the Holy Ghost, something received after baptism and which depends on obedience to principles, sometimes on preparation.
It sometimes surprised me, being different from what I was thinking, but turned out to be much for the best. Some other times simply "wait" or "no".
And: I make bad (less beneficial to me and others) decisions when I am selfish, prideful, fearful, stubborn, etc. Often those results are harmful, & painful.
