In 2018 SSA stopped benefits to me, and my appeal dated 2018-10-01 has had no answer as of 2019-02-19. (There are details, but that is true and accurate.)
(They thought I worked, I proved I did not, they sent a letter saying we have determined you did not work, but they did not restore benefits, or say why not.)
The various phone representatives I call understand, have written messages, sent summaries of the documentation I have provided, etc., but stll no answer.
I call after the number of days they specify, and no one can tell me why there is no response, but they send a message asking, and ask me to wait more weeks.
I have been doing that for months now. No one (just like during the years-long application process) can tell me where I am in the queue or what is happening.
