This also seems an important reason NOT to support the Equal Rights Amendment.

• It seems like women and men should be treated equally in *value*, but not to treat as identical (societally forced to not observe or respect the differences).
• E.g., separate restrooms & showers (! ), etc, where respect of the difference is important for moral behavior, clean thoughts, and family integrity. Etc.
• There is probably more to the picture, known by those who have studied the issues in more depth than I.
