Email can be the most effective tool for some things. Exs: speed, manageable interruptions, saved history, groups/lists, optional alerts, helpful tools, etc.

• Email programs have built-in automations to make many operations extremely fast & efficient (when learned).
• It can be used on a smartphone, for those who desire to be alerted to certain messages (possibly), etc.
• It can also allow someone to think it over, before replying.
• It can sometimes be faster & easier to type on a physical keyboard than on a smartphone screen, especially for longer threads. Email makes that more possible.
• But if not managed properly it is avoided, or a time sink.
