Congrats and good job to you. The time you spend practicing allows you to do good for our Lord's kingdom, for the people in it.
We don't have to be in the foreground, getting attention and praise for what we do.
The purpose is not to be a big shot, but to be part of the Lord's kingdom, and to serve.
Our aim is to gently encourage others to come to Christ, where they can find peace and healing.
And we can have joy in the doing.
I suppose you will do your best and enjoy it the most if you learn many hymns well, so you can plan almost any hymn well on short notice.
Not all at once of course, but it can be done steadily.
That will come with time, as you continue.
It really does help a lot if whoever chooses the hymns will tell you enough in advance, to practice! We can ask with a smile, and do our best either way.
Again, good job and my compliments, for all the service you give (of whatever kind).
