See inbox as a todo list, part of one's overall routine, with the ideal state or objective being that it is cleared out (or moving toward that).

• This will hopefully get easier with practice, and having routines that fit your situation. Maybe using the built-in tools to automate some things.
• We have to know our own priorities & boundaries, & respect those of others, while being kind. It is easier w/ practice -- practice is hard but worthwhile. main
• Inbox is cleared by handling, filing into folders for reference or later (todolist-tracked) review, deleting, marking things unread etc so flagged visually, &c.
• It might be helpful generally to sort an inbox so the latest is at the top, and read that first, in case that changes the practical outcome of earlier threads.
• This includes reviewing inbox regularly, AND spam folders semi-regularly (scheduled) to catch things there by mistake.
• This way you can efficiently manage the "incoming" stuff, including things you might not want to review more than weekly, or whatever works best.
• If you have the "infinite inbox" approach (like gmail etc can do?), be sure to learn to mark and sort messages, use filters/rules and folders, to enable above.
